Resort description:

The 850-acre Guana Island, one of the largest of the British Virgin Islands, is one of the most private hideaways in the Caribbean.

Its only occupant is the 42-guest resort, the first resort built in the BVI, which intentionally retains its original Caribbean style and atmosphere. Started in the l930s and built on the foundations of an 18th century Quaker estate, its stone cottages nestle along a scenic ridge offering magnificent views of both the Atlantic and the Caribbean.

Rooms and accommodation:

Double Occupancy Rooms: Guest rooms are attractive and comfortable, each with an adobe- style bath and private terrace offering sweeping views of the Atlantic and Caribbean. All feature: private bathrooms with adobe style showers, ceiling fans, WiFi Internet access and hair dryers. The following amenities are complimentary based upon request and availability: coffee machines, refrigerators, alarm clocks, sewing kits, hair dryers, irons and boards. Choose either king or twin beds.

North Beach Cottage: The most private beach house imaginable. North Beach Cottage has a comfortable bedroom plus an attractive living room, kitchen and bath. All rooms are surrounded by open and covered decks for dining, lounging or sunbathing. The Cottage has a natural sea pool, its own fresh water pool, a great view of the Atlantic and constant gentle breezes. Guests have use of a golf cart as well. Meals are offered at the Cottage or on the romantic dining terraces of Guana Island's main Clubhouse. Choose either king or twin beds.

Harbour House: This two-bedroom villa is situated on the Island’s main ridge with sweeping views of Guana and of the Atlantic and Caribbean. It has a large terrace, a dining veranda, an infinity pool and hot tub, plus use of a golf cart. It can be rented as a one or two bedroom villa. Meal arrangements vary with your preferences. You can dine at the villa or at the Club where you might enjoy meeting other Island guests.

Jost House: This luxurious 3 bedroom villa, has breathtaking views of Guana, the Atlantic and the Caribbean from its living room, dining room and terraces. It can be rented as a one, two or three bedroom villa, and its main, grand terrace has an infinity pool and hot tub, plus use of a golf cart. Meal arrangements vary with your preferences. You can dine at the villa or at the Club where you might enjoy meeting other Island guests.

North Beach Cottage has a maximum occupancy of 4, and the maximum occupancy of Harbour House and Jost House is 6.

Full Board option:

The Full American Plan rate includes three meals daily, wines with lunch and dinner, snacks at the Club or Beach as well as use of on Island activities, including Hobie Wave, kayaks, windsurfers, pedal boats, tennis, snorkel equipment, other beach and fishing equipment and more. Other on Island activities and services are available at additional charge, such as spa services, diving, water skiing, guided hikes, kite boarding, boat charters and fishing trips and more.

The Inclusive Romance Package is an automatic upgrade for Full Board guests who stay 7 nights or longer during off season, and includes all of the above plus a Welcome Amenity, a sunset cruise and a castaway picnic and transfers to and from the Island.

Additional information:

Guana Island accommodates children during school holiday periods.

We can provide transfer services to and from the Island for a fee of £37 round-trip per person.

Formal check in is at 2:00 PM and checkout is at 12:00 noon, but guests are welcome to use facilities if they arrive earlier or leave later in the day.

Guana Island follows the smoking policies mandated by the B.V.I Government. Smoking is permitted in designated locations only.
