Resort description:

Galley Bay is the perfect All Inclusive secluded setting on the tranquil west coast of Antigua, enjoying forty-acres of tropical gardens between a bird sanctuary lagoon and a three-quarter mile beach.

Great care has been taken to ensure the resort compliments these natural surroundings. Thatch, bamboo and terracotta establish an ambience of refined rusticity in the public areas, while a picturesque wooden deck ensures maximum exposure to the ocean views. There is little disruption from the outside world as access to the resort is via a wooden bridge.

All guests are welcomed at the historical sugar mill reception and whisked by golf cart to one of the 69 suites and cottages. More than three-quarters of the accommodations lie directly on the white sand beach; the remainder tucked away in the gardens and boasting their own private splash pools.

Galley Bay is a 30 minute transfer from VC Bird International Airport.

Rooms and accommodation:

All rooms have a king bed, ceiling fan, satellite TV, telephone, coffee-maker, mini-refrigerator, in-room safe, hairdryer, radio alarm clock and cotton bathrobes.

Gauguin Cottages are situated on the edge of a bird sanctuary lagoon, just 50 yards from the beach.  Each cottage consists of two separate thatched rondavels - one for sleeping, the other a bath / dressing room - connected by a sheltered breezeway.  The have a private splash pool flanked by paved sun decks.

Superior Beachfront Rooms are located directly on the beach and have a private terrace and shower. Rattan furnishings, louvered windows and colourful local art capture a mood that is quintessentially Caribbean.

Deluxe Beachfront Rooms are either 1 or 2 storey and feature a walk-in wardrobe, large beach patio with beach shower and bathroom with ‘his and hers’ showers. Second floor rooms boast spectacular ocean views.

Premium Beachfront Rooms are either 1 or 2 storey and feature a sunken living room with wet bar, private furnished terrace or patio, and bathroom with ‘his and hers’ showers and extra large bathtub.
